Seedlings in Pots

Seed Library

If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need.

-Cicero

What is the Seed Library?

The Seed Library offers free seeds and resources for planting, growing, harvesting, and seed saving.

Why have a Seed Library?

Our Seed Library is about...
  • Empowering community members to grow their own food by offering free seeds.

  • Reconnecting the community to the tradition of growing tasty, healthy food.

  • Providing information, instruction and education about sustainable gardening.

  • Keeping open pollinated seed varieties thriving and in use.

  • Reconnecting our community to the outdoors and wildlife.

Requesting Seeds

Browse available seeds online or in the binder at the library. We are always adding new seeds as donations are received.

Fill out the form to request seeds (one per variety, limit 15).

Returning Seeds

While you don't have to return the unused seeds that you've requested, we do ask for a donation of a similar, unopened commercial seed packet to help us maintain the seed library.

Suggested Reading

The following are some books about gardening available at the library.

Special thanks to our generous donors:
