The River Vale Free Public Library is a member of the Bergen County Cooperative Library System (BCCLS). This consortium of 77 public libraries delivers quality library service to the general public through sharing of books and other materials, purchasing, maintaining and sharing a computer system and providing common access to the cooperative's data bases. Your River Vale Library card enables you to access the collections of all members of the cooperative by using the BCCLS online catalog.

Adult Summer Reading Challenge
The River Vale Public Library's Summer Reading Challenge is a fun way to encourage the love of reading for all ages!
Challenge yourself to read 20 hours this summer, and earn a River Vale Public Library pint glass and succulent plant (while supplies last).
Registration
Register for the program anytime starting June 26th. There are 2 ways to register:

In Person: Pick up a reading log and fill out the registration at the bottom of the sheet.
Adult Summer Reading Challenge

Eligibility:

Any adult age 18 and older

How it works:

Fill out the registration form below and submit it to the library.

Mark off one sun for every 1 hour you read.

Read a total of 20 hours to complete the Summer Reading Challenge.

Turn in your reading log by August 14th to receive a prize.

Only 1 completed challenge per person.

The fine print:

Participants MUST be 18 years of age or older.

Only ONE reading log per person will be accepted.

Participants do not have to be River Vale residents to enter, but MUST be able to pick up their prizes in person.

Books/Audiobooks MUST be read between the program dates to count towards the program.

Reading log MUST be submitted by 5 PM on Friday, August 14th, 2023.

The River Vale Public Library reserves the right to reject an entry if there is reason to believe that a participant has cheated or broken any rules of the program.
