The River Vale Free Public Library is a member of the Bergen County Cooperative Library System (BCCLS). This consortium of 77 public libraries delivers quality library service to the general public through sharing of books and other materials, purchasing, maintaining and sharing a computer system and providing common access to the cooperative's data bases. Your River Vale Library card enables you to access the collections of all members of the cooperative by using the BCCLS online catalog.

The River Vale Public Library's Summer Reading Challenge is a fun way to encourage the love of reading for all ages!

Register for the program anytime starting June 20th. There are 3 ways to register:
Online: http://rivervalelibrary.beanstack.org
In Person: Pick up a reading log and fill out the registration at the bottom of the sheet.
Adult Summer Reading Challenge

Eligibility:
-
Any adult age 18 and older

How it works:

Fill out a registration form and submit it to the library, or register and participate completely online on Beanstack.

Pick up a paper reading log at the library or print one out online.
-
Earn 1 prize entry for each hour you read (up to 15 hours).

Earn extra entries by completing special reading challenges (up to 15 entries).
-
Read a total of 15 hours to complete the Summer Reading Challenge.

If logging on paper, turn in your reading log by August 12th to be entered into the prize drawing.

You will be automatically entered into the prize drawing.

The deadline to log your reading and earn prize entries is August 12, 2022.

The fine print:

Participants MUST be 18 years of age or older.

Only ONE reading log per person will be accepted.
-
Participants do not have to be River Vale residents to enter, but MUST be able to pick up their prizes in person.
-
Books/Audiobooks MUST be read between the program dates to count towards the program.

Reading log MUST be submitted by 5 PM on Friday, August 12th, 2022.

The River Vale Public Library reserves the right to reject an entry if there is reason to believe that a participant has cheated or broken any rules of the program.
