Tech Tutoring:
Our Technology Services Librarian, Diane Sweatlock, offers personal, one-on-one instruction in basic technology training. Learn the basic skills in using a computer, searching the internet and preparing word documents.    Sessions can cover broad topics: Internet, Microsoft Office, Basic Desktop/Windows functions, tablets, Email or the Library Catalog and Databases. Assistance is also available in helping you to utilize eReaders to borrow eBooks, eMagazines and eAudiobooks from BCCLS. Beginners and Intermediate users are welcome. Sessions are one-on-one for thirty minutes.  Call the Library to register as session times vary.

Friend's First Friday:
The Friends of the River Vale Free Public Library sponsor an annual series of programs held the first Friday of every month from October through June at 1:00 pm. All are welcome. Specific details about each program will be available as the program date approaches.  Check below for more details on the current month's program.

Backyard Gardening Club: 
Meetings are held on the third Tuesday of the month at 7:00pm. New members are welcome!  The Backyard Garden Club does not meet during winter months.  Check out the calendar for specific dates and information.

Knit & Crochet Club:
The club usually meets twice a month on Friday mornings at 10:00am. Join us for a relaxing morning of knitting, crocheting, and chatting while you learn new techniques from club members. New members are always welcome!  Check out the calendar for specific dates.
 

Senior Chair Yoga: 
Yoga is not only a search for mental and spiritual balance but also provides many physical benefits. Chair yoga is a gentler form of yoga, less demanding and easier. Sitting in a chair or using a chair for balance allows participants to benefit from the physical and mental meditative aspects of yoga without the highly demanding stressful poses of standard yoga.
